Subject: We watched 2 good movies and the Grammys.

First, I loved the Grammy performances, esp Bruno Mars doing a tribute to Little Richard, and Miranda Lambert was great too. Wish Beyonce had performed.

Fathers & Daughters was fantastic, starring Russel Crowe as an emotionally damaged famous writer and Amanda Seyfried as his loving daughter. Jane Fonda and other major stars made this film SO good.

American Animals stars Evan Peters about 4 college guys trying to pull of a heist of rare books from their college library. Great acting and edge of your seat excitement when it all goes wrong.

surprisingly good. Most awards shows during the pandemic have been kind of hard to pull off. But the way they staged the performers where they became the audience of the other performers was really effective. I loved Bruno, Black Pumas, Billie Eilish, BTS, Mickey Guyton and a couple of others. Trevor Noah kept it moving nicely.

In all fairness tho, I've seen several of the Not-Nom pics, which I was surprised were ignored: Ma Rainey, Hamilton, and some I can't remember now. I'll be glad when we can get back into the theaters to see movies. This tv thing just doesn't cut it for me.

a few more of the nominated films/actors that I wanted to see anyway. Promising Young Woman, Minari and Ma Rainey are on my list as of now.
