Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

Oscar-nominated film Promising Young Woman starring Carey Mulligan (also nominated.) It's hard to describe, but in a nutshell, it's a #metoo revenge film that takes the lead character to some pretty dark places in her quest to avenge a college gang rape of the lead character's best friend, which never went to trial. It is an independent film that earned several awards and is directed by a woman. I really liked it, there are a few good twists and Carey Mulligan is amazing in it. I next hope to see Minari and maybe The Father.

a funny little film called Don't Read This On A Plane. No big name stars. A comedy about a woman writer, on a 3 week book tour in Europe to promote her book, when her publisher goes broke. She has to figure out lodging etc and meets so many people on her journey. Why shouldn't the book be read on a plane? Because it's porn, lol.
