Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

Judas and the Black Messiah starring Oscar-winner Daniel Kaluuya as chairman of the rainbow coalition formed by the Black Panthers and infiltrated by an FBI informant, based on a true story that was told in a PBS interview in 1989, with scenes of the interview with the informant interspersed in the film. It's a really great and informative film of a tumultuous time in 1969, very much relevant today.

it came out the same year as Trial of the Chicago 7, from the same time period.

We saw 2, Borat and Minari. I did like Minari, which was sweet but predictable, had a nice slow pace with good character studies.

I'm not a fan of "Borat" but still laughed through it, tedious and vulgar as it was. Sasha Baron Cohen is a good actor, liked him in the Chicago 7.
