Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

The Invisible Man starring Elizabeth Moss. It was a very different and very modern take on the story. Moss plays the abused wife of a wealthy creep who controls every aspect of her life. She escapes him only to be tormented by him and looking crazy in the process, since he invented an optics program that makes him invisible. It was an effective thriller and female empowerment piece.

I didn't know it was a true story about a group of dancers at a strip club in NYC. When the financial crisis hit in 2008, business dried up at the club. Lopez leads the group in finding, drugging and stealing from men. Worst movie ever - horrible, boring story and worst acting ever. I can't believe Jlo was up for an Oscar for this.
The Invisible Man sounds good. I like Elizabeth Moss.

a Golden Globe. I like her well enough, but I didn't really feel the urge to see that movie for some reason.

totally agree with your review of Hustlers. It was terrible and I still laugh about people saying JLo was amazing in it. I saw it over Christmas and my sister and I kept wanting to turn it off but we thought maybe something would happen but nope.
