Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood with Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys and Susan Kelechi Watson. I needed something I though would be light, but it was kind of sad and light at the same time. The cast was great and I just love Matthew Rhys.

This one is a MUST see. Jamie Fox plays a death row inmate who Michael, a recent Harvard Law grad, works to get a retrial for. True story that is sad, interesting and uplifting. 60 Minutes did a story on this lawyer and his legal group a few years ago.

We also tried to watch Uncut Gems with Adam Sandler. Turned it off after 30 min. The most vulgar, stupid and boring thing I've seen lately.
Finally we saw The Healer. Sappy and silly but ok.

may check it out at some point. A little Adam Sandler can go a long way.

wasn't real long so I watched it. Nothing special.

And I totally agree with skw123. Jamie Foxx is excellent.

I would also totally recommend the book by Bryan Stevenson by the same name. Very eye opening about how unegual the justice system is. His Equal Justice Initiative does really important work.
