Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

finally went to see Vice. It has humorous moments, but mostly it's a serious look at profiting from war, massive ego and ambition at the expense of human lives. The cast is impressive to say the least. Christian Bale is completely unrecognizable as Cheney and captures his speech and facial ticks perfectly. Amy Adams was a big surprise as a rather scary Lynne Cheney. Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, Allison Pill, Lily Rabe, Eddie Marsan, Justin Kirk and Jesse Plemons were all exceptional.

Mostly to see what the hype was all about, and it IS pretty weird. Great sci-fy concept. I think it's hard to come up with new stories for this genre, but this one really did it. Sandra Bullock is really the whole movie, everyone else is just a peripheral character.
