Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

didn't see any movies this weekend, but for my last day of vacation tomorrow, I am seeing Barbie! And yes, I'm wearing pink. I will report back later on that one.

We saw Inside, starring only one actor, WIllem Defoe. He plays an art thief who breaks into a NYC high rise apartment that's completely computer controlled. He gets in by hacking the code, grabs the art (paintings by my fav artist Egon Scheile) and then can't get out. The system fails and traps him. It's really a study in human nature, as he struggles to escape and produces art himself.
We also watched Being There, an old movie starting Peter Sellers. Kinda sweet.

was great! Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie were amazing as expected, but the supporting cast really shines. Kate McKinnon (as the "weird and crazy" Barbie that was played with too "roughly") was hilarious. And yeah, I related to that LOL! I was not kind to my Barbies. America Ferrera was probably my favorite. Rhea Perlman was very good and the narration by Helen Mirren was great too. Positive messages and great performances. Greta Gerwig delivered as director and co-writer. Girl Power!

I hate to watch new films on an airplane so I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off (which I don't think I have seen in decades) and The Big Chill (one of the best soundtracks ever IMO).
