Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

American Fiction, a brilliantly funny film starring Jeffrey Wright. It's based on the book Erasure. The cast features several actors best known for their TV roles: Wright (Westworld), Sterling K. Brown (This is Us), Issa Rae (Insecure), Tracee Ellis Ross (Blackish), Adam Brody (The O.C.) and also the amazing Leslie Uggams. I highly recommend this one.

Boys in the Boat, based on the book, is the story of USA's 1939 Summer Olympic rowing team, from Seattle , WA. It was rather slow and tedious, but kind of a feel-good true story.
Also saw Napoleon, starring Joaquin Phoenix, about the relationship between Napoleon and Josephine. Such a disappointment. Even he could do nothing with the terrible script. Great costumes tho.
