Subject: In-service training (stages)

The European Commission offers five-month periods of in-service training (stages) for young university graduates from the member states of the European Union and to a number of nationals from non-member countries. These
training periods involve work experience in one of the Commission's departments and run from 1 March and 1 October each year.
During the last stages sessions, some Archives services of the Commission had seek archivists and record managers unsuccessful, because this profile is dramatic underrepresented in the Blue Book (the list of candidates who passed the first selection - because it traditionally has a blue cover). As I heard that colleagues are still searching for young archivists/record manager as trainee, I would like to invite you to diffuse the information
among your students or in the relevant schools/universities you can have contact with.

The deadline for sending applications for the next stage session (beginning October 2002) is March, 31 2002 (date of the postmark)

General information concerning in-service training (stages) with the European Commission (as well the applications forms) can be found at
http://europa.eu.int/comm/stages/index_en.htm

Many thanks for your attention
