] Date Posted: 17:14:01 02/04/05 Fri Ok, this is influenced by Green Day being nominated for a best album grammy... what a shocker... but anyway, I felt I'd throw out a list of Rock operas I know of, and we'll let Rock movies in as well, and see who thinks which is the best, and if you know of one not on the list, add it. Ok Green Day- American Idiot Pink Floyd- The Wall Who- Tommy David Bowie- The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust Rocky Horror Picture Show Hedwig and the Angry Inch Neal Young- Greendale Hair Jesus Christ Superstar IPV- Proving Grounds (ok ok, it's a stretch, but it's my forum and my question, so damn it, I'm putting my band in there [for knowledge of my now defunct band, lyrics to the songs from the album, and audio of the songs themselves, go to www.ipvmusic.com] ok, cheep plug over) The Roots- Brooklyn Babylon (also a bit of a stretch as the music didn't tell the story of the movie, but enhanced it... maybe we just won't could this one... I recomend it nonetheless) I'd say that's a good start. And remember, it's rated on the quality of the music as much as the movie (when a movie is applicable) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
