Subject: Friesian Health Survey

Hi everyone. I light of the conversations I have had here and elsewhere about the health of Friesian horses, I have developed a comprehensive survey which will hopefully begin to shed some light upon health trends in the breed. This is an official research project, and is pending sponsorship from FHANA. My hope is to reach Friesian owners in North America and possibly abroad to find out what health issues affect their horses and what the causes of these issues may be.

My ultimate goal is that if the results of this survey suggest certain trends in Friesian health, that there will be ground for these issues (if any) to be addressed by researchers with larger and more comprehensive resources.

Unfortunately, for verification purposes in this survey, only horses with a valid FPS registration number can be processed at this time. This is to help ensure that entries are verifiable and not duplicated, and that our data at the end of the day is accurate.
