It is less the height of the horse as the width you have to worry about. If you get a wintec you're fairly well off, since they are cheap and you can special order a larger gullet if he widens up upon maturity. But otherwise it depends completely on your horse, which is probably why no one responded. Some friesians fit average saddle widths, other need extra wide. It just depends on the shape of your individual horse's back.
