I haven't imported a mare so I can't answer you that question but if the mare was going for repeat I do know the judges look harder. And they are very good. We have a third premie studbook mare that was keured in Holland when she was 3. She got a 3rd premie but she was pregnant at the time, she was repeat keured by another owner when she was 5, over here, again pregnant, third premie. So this mare was put into training, was in the best shape of her life, in fact received NEFHC horse of the year that year, won everything, and went to the keur, guess what what.. 3rd premie. I asked the judge why she didn't make ster, he told me that one hock was slightly bigger than the other otherwise she was fantastic but where she was going for repeat... We had never noticed this, she had never been off on it but they knew and they saw it from the time she first went to keuring when she was three. How much did you pay for the mare in Europe? No one can definately say you will get a ster rating other than the judge at the keur. Buyer beware.
