Hi Muriel:

Thanks for your response. Our Friesian is fine now, thank g-d, and very, very strong. He is already a part of the family and is here to stay. There is such a big difference in his demeanor now even though he did not show signs of true sickness (i.e. no fever when taking his temperature everyday, continued to eat and do light work), only the swollen Lymph Node. It was so strange.

By the way, the Lymph Node feels completely normal again even though my vet explained that it might never return to the correct size.

I look at this entire issue as a positive as it actually helped us go through the initial bonding period very well. He is always looking for me now, follows me around with no lead and we had such a great lesson today! We have alot of work ahead of us though and this is my great challenge.

Now on to new issues such as a slight case of muck in his fore leg. I am a fanatical groomer and never miss his feet but there seems to be something at the back of his heel. I heard that this usually happens at some point. Can anyone tell me if the Listerine trick really works and if you have a step by step (put on and leave)?
