Subject: My Goal

My goal with my stallion is primarily to compete in dressage at the highest levels that we can achieve. Training him is all about him and not so much about me. What I mean is that I would be satisfied using/hiring a professional to ride him at competitions. I just enjoy the process of developing and owning a great horse. So that is what I get out of the experience; pride of ownership.

I would also have the benefit of showing him at our local horse expos and other non-show events to promote the breed in all their brilliance.

He is in a high-end show barn now learning basics and coming along incredibly. He knows how to collect himself beautifully at the trot and has moved on to the collected canter work both under saddle and long lined. I want to give him some time off after next Sept. before moving into dressage targeted lessons. He is young and will need time off for good work. That is my long term plan. I welcome any comments.

Thanks for the Dutch lessons.
