Subject: Diet for lean Friesian
In reply to: Megan 's message, "Thin Friesian" on 10:18:51 02/01/11 Tue

Hi,

My Friesian gelding is on the light side and he gets grass hay 3x a day and then a scoop of Nutrena's Empower which I really like. I also put 1/2 to 2/3 scoop of beet pulp with it, then I add water and he loves it. So overall not a big bucket but with grass hay he needed a little more.

It took me a while to get his diet synced, he lost some weight and then gained too much when I was supplementing. So this combo I use now is really healthy, I like the ingredients of Empower and he is looking excellent.
