Subject: thin friesian

My 3 yr old fresian is 17hands. very lean. looks like a huge yearling. i feed him safe choice nutrena feed, he eats 7lbs a day. plus 4 to 5 flakes in the evening and two flakes of hay in the morning. When he stands with his head up it touches my 10ft headers in barn. So all his energy is going up up up. I just added weight gain to his feed. he gets 4oz a day. Yet still is looking thin. Chicken bone chest? it is thin and his shoulders stick out and his hips stick out. u cant see his ribs tho. help. none of my horses looked like this. But he is also my only fresian. My belgin always was big. She had to grow into her head and butt. lol Versace has to grow into his hips and shoulders. We r lightly riding him now under saddle. walking nothing more and i only weigh 130 and my 13 yr old daughter weighs 100. if ur interested in seeing what he looks like im on facebook. Amanda Owens-Geissman. a pic of me and my belgin is my profile. I dont except people i dont know so put in about versace. thanks for all the help, its greatly appriciated. amanda
