Subject: Friesian Blanket Fit!!!

I saw a few inquires about blanket fit here in the forum. So I thought I would share my findings on a great fit blanket for all those baroque friesians out there. I have a 6 year wide friesian gelding. I have struggled and literally have spent hundreds of dollars on blankets that just never fit right. Well, I finally discovered that the Amigo XL Turnout Blanket by Horseware is absouletly the way to go!!! It cost me $110 for a light weight and the color is not so bad. Its exactly like the "Rambo" in terms of style. But it fits him from head to but. I could not find his size anywhere and finally I found an "84" at Smartpack" (very few left). Also, for all you people that cant find a good cutback blanket at the withers. Bring it to a hems place and they will hem it back for you. Put it on your horse, use chalk to draw a line to where you want it cut. I payed only $50 and I now have a blanket that not only fits him perfect but it is now cutback so his mane is not getting destroyed. I was very nervous about them cutting into my blankets but I cant even tell anything was done and its the best $ spent!! Hopefully this helps out!
