Subject: A new edition of Friesian Crazy.com

Hey everyone. My life has been pretty busy lately, but in my free time I've been working on a new version of Friesian Crazy- moving the website to a new platform that will hopefully allow better interaction by users and some other improvements in efficiency.

This means a few things - going to friesiancrazy.com will soon bring you to the new website. The web address friesian-crazy.tripod.com will still exist as a backup but will no longer be updated, and users will be prompted to visit the new site.

I've considered replacing the forum with a different system, but wanted to get your input first. This is a very simple forum, which is nice in some ways, since it doesn't require registration or other delays to comment. However, it is prone to spam, which is troublesome. I'd appreciate your opinions on this, since some of you are regular users and might have some insights into this versus other forum types.

Another change is that I will begin charging for classifieds ads, and featured directory listings, as well as a few google ad spots (though not many, since I abhor ugly ads), and donation requests in an attempt to help the website pay for itself. Currently I am very limited in what improvements or upgrades I can make, and any that do occur are out of my pocket, which is getting slimmer and slimmer these days, so I'm hoping to at least offset those costs a bit in future.

Do you have any features you'd like to see or suggestions? Things you think would be really useful, or things you don't like about the current site? I'm in the process of redoing everything, so now's the the time to let me know! Thanks so much to everyone for being regular visitors!
