Go to the site Richard-Maxwell.com. Look up his merchandise and buy a training halter, it comes with a DVD which tells you how to use it.
I have been using one for years on all my horses. My friesian can be walked anywhere on the halter. He stays by my side and walks 'to heel' almost like a collie dog. When they are trained properly with one of these you will have no more pulling/respect issues. Its worth its weight in gold. It is completely comfortable for them, until they play up. There are many similar halters on the market but IMO this is the best but you MUST follow the DVD to the letter.
