Hi Cathy,
I found instructions for the long single braid on the yahoo friesian group. You need to join and then access the files section. In there is a document which you can print off. It tells you how to do the 'Frederic Pignon show braid'. Its quite tricky to get the hang of to start with but with some practice you can braid a whole mane in about 5 - 10 minutes. Its a four strand braid which seems to stay in quite well. I don't braid his tail as his filly friend is not interested in chewing that.
