Orca

Hello & welcome to O.R.C.A!

Orca
Research &
C
onservation
Association

Within our tanks there resides a special pod of whales. These whales are under 24-7 observation by our staff. These Orcas were rescued from a marine park that had little knowledge of how to properly care for such beautiful and powerful creatures. A few of these whales are related but many have only just met. Here at O.R.C.A, we will continue to train them and work on their social abilities. We will attempt to breed these whales in hopes of replenishing the numerous Orcas lost each year due to human capture. We also hope that by observing them, we will get an understanding of how their whale society works.

What you see...
As you travel down the long road, you come upon a sign that just reads O.R.C.A, as you venture further, you'll come upon a building. This is where the staff & boss are when they arent in the tanks with the whales. Behind the building, there is a wall like structure, obviously hiding something. In order to get through the barrier, you must walk through the building- asking permission of course. As yet another way of deterring people from entering, there is a door that reads... "Staff Only". These Orcas are not ready to encounter the public again yet. Within the wall, there are 3 tanks, one in which holds most of the pod- the largest tank. The second one being that for training, the third being for calfing & injured pod members.

Remember: NO wild animal can ALWAYS be trusted
