] Date Posted: 18/08/07 17:30 Hi Heather... Just wondering..are you going back to the same school in September? Or somewhere else? Just thinking about your kids....I've left where I was and start somewhere else..not with the Specials anymore but others that need just as much support... ( I will miss them terribly, but it was just time to move on..Had to laugh, we had a presentation day..I was sat in the front row..glanced across and there's one of mine on the same row but at the other side of the room.. blowing kisses! just had to blow one back!!! They presented me with some flowers cos I was leaving..it was hard i nearly cried but gave a slight bow instead! It never leaves you does it!) Went to my new job for a day and some of them don't speak much english...had to explain 'Frog'.. did the sound.. no response..so got on my hands and knees and did the actions!!! ( The specials have trained me well! lol) Hope your okay anyway.. Awen [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 19/08/07 15:52 Hi Awen, yes im going back to the same school, im so pleased and lucky. I'm hoping to see them all through to primary 7. I loved that bit about blowing kisses lol its so true.....i can see that in my minds eye. I too have done my funny walks etc, after a zoo trip once i remember chasing the kids down the school corridor with a monkey mask on doing my best impression of a gorilla...looked more like an orangutan with my hair though, i had to laugh when i heard one of the mainstream kids say 'i wish we were in the base'(support base). The head mistress came out of her office to see what all the noise was, i just lifted my mask and grinned, she rolled her eyes smiling and asked if we could keep the noise down, everyone else was trying not to pee themselves laughing.I cant wait to get back tomorrow. The first time i left that particular school was awful, i really sobbed, then i was lucky enough to get back there, then i cried again when i got hugs going back. Emotional, its fab. Good luck with the new job hun. Big hugs and bright blessings, love heather.xxxxx [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
