I shall work on that then - it may not happen straight away, got to get the computer sorted out first! although the good news is, we may be able to get it repaired for free (not entirely sure how we're gonna get it to the nearest Apple dealer without car transport though - hmmmm) anyway, turns out this computer falls into the serial number group that may have a manufacturing fault, and so Apple are offering free repairs - as long as it's caused by the fault they've specified lol. Yippeeee - fingers crossed :)

Snow update.... well there's still plenty here - but now the silence is replaced with the 'drip drip slide and gurgle' of melting snow.
