] Date Posted: 19/04/07 15:33 Hi all ,,I hope you are all well. Firstly may I say this post is not meant to upset anyone. I have noticed recently that a lot of the posts concern personal tragedies, or what we percieve to be a tragedy in our lives. I am not belittling anyones emotions in this, but it seems to me that the Garden at the moment is full of death, decay and personal problems. Again , sorry if this offends or upsets anyone. It's just the way I feel the posts have been going recently. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 19/04/07 16:36 But with those messages of sadness and personal distress are words of comfort from Garden friends - messages of love and support. Life is a myriad of emotions and experiences... and inbetween the sun beams there must also be rain... Namaste [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19/04/07 16:47 SoR, Yes you are right in what you say but aren't those the times you need friends, others points of view etc? That is one of the key points of a community, to assist, to help and to be someones strength, maybe in the real world the level of support isn't there or the undestanding of ones beliefs isnt forthcoming from the family unit, my parents don't readily accept my beliefs so at times they can't offer the support. The 'virtual' garden offers that. There hs been a lot of personal tragedy within the garden of late, it has slowed the frequency of posts and perhaps it has made the posters nervous of posting joviality because of that. This garden, like others, has a cycle, a cycle of sleep, rebirth and death, it is up to us to clear the old and to bring spring birth upon the garden and its occupants. Blessings and light Paganwolf )0( [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19/04/07 17:58 I observe the garden (in particular recently) as a place of comfort and gentle caring. Solace by the waterfall, a listening ear by the pond and lots of hugs. Garden friends sharing things that are real and true for them right now, showing their strength and courage and honesty....and allowing others to do the same. I think that is beautiful. Date Posted: 20/04/07 10:44 SOR I apologize myself for having a few personal problems in my life at the moment, but i also am grateful of the support from the wonderful folk of the garden including yourself. things do happen in life that bring us all down now and again and i hope i haven't trodden on the feet of those who could have felt as if they cant post a 'happy' post because i have had a few ups and downs. these things happen in life and we cant help the way we cope and who we 'need' to share things with. sorry love sam [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/04/07 13:02 Well I don't know about anyone els Sam, But I don't feel as if I can't post happy news if someone else is having trouble. I myself like to hear others good news when I'm feeling down. It reminds me that good things happen too and I feel joy for them. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20/04/07 13:22 Me thinks i didn't make my point too well. When I said about happy posts,it wasn't meant to infer that no one could. It was a posible reason why there just seemed to be a lot of posts dealing with personal issues one after the other. sorry if my words, unintentional though they were, have caused offence PW )0( [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 21/04/07 22:10 Pilgrim - members of my family started to go down that road once. They then conceived naturally once they stopped actually thinking and worrying about it. You never know - the family might grow even bigger than they or you realize. As to people talking about their problems - why not? It does them good and the rest of us no harm. Ellinas. Date Posted: 22/04/07 15:11 Tragedy is a part of life but society likes to brush in under the carpet makes it not acceptable. When it happens you can feel so alone unable to tell others. Isolated. Becuase of the special nature of this garden and the wise, empathic people in it, I have felt I could come here and share those moments. I am worried that a post such as yours son of robinswood could deter people from feeling that confidence they have hitherto felt. I hope that is not the case as I think it was so great the way things were going. A real community supporting each other. Peace seeker [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 23/04/07 20:19 Well, i totally agree that this forum, like life, has its ebbs and flows. And as one of those who has recently had a bit of a hard time I have truly treasured the support I have received from all my friends here. We are a world wide community. And, regardless of the miles, like any other community we pull together and are strongest in times of great sorrow and in times of great celebration. Date Posted: 25/04/07 1:26 I tend to stay out of debates like this as I am quick to defend and stamp my feet for what I believe to be correct and because of this can cause offence. So I will try not to do that now but I will say this... I came to the garden to cry a long time ago when I miscarried. I found strength and love from Whitewolf and the Garden folk, I planted a willow tree and moved on. I came here when I was getting a new kitten and needed a name. It was here I came when I found a bee hive and wasn't sure what to do. I came here for Garden tips, Jokes. To share my poetry and words, Pilgrim who is half the world away showed one of my poems to lift his daughter's spirits. I came here when two of my friends lost there much ed loved feline friends, to give support. What I'm trying to say is Gaia's Garden is part of my everyday life, but also their when the pain is to much and you need help and support. I have given my support and taken it when needed so Thank you all for my place in the Garden! xx ))hug(( [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 1/06/07 14:41 Oh am so heartened to read of all this wonderful support. Oh please never stop this sharing. Son of Robins Wood to be fair, you tell our garden friend not to apologise and yet you passively draw an observation that is imbued with judgment, otherwise why say it at all!!! "it seems to me that the Garden at the moment is full of death, decay and personal problems." I think 'how super that people can come here and share everyhing'. That is what life is about. Being able to relate, to share, to say 'yes, I KNOW, I am feeling it too...I will listen without judgmenet, without labelling things as 'right' or 'wrong' for discussion, without NEEDING for things to be a certain way'. There is far too much censorship of expression in this world. It is MARVELLOUS that the garden celebrates honesty. Love, light and blessings to us all Mel [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 12/06/07 10:19 I have found that this year like the last, the lead up to the solstice for some reason brings huge changes in peoples lives. Maybe the energies are the same again this year, and when we feel like this, we turn to places of comfort. I have defintely come into this place in need of friends and comfort. Although ive come to realise also that my life is in continual turmoil lol and really i just need to get on with it. so yeah.. maybe everyone is feeling issues of turmoil or tradgedy at the moment, these things to tend to come in cycles. I think people seem a little edgy in this post not wanting to offend anyone, but no offence really has happened, its just points of view. we all have them and your right SoR things in here have been a little sad recently. But im sure the energies will change again soon. Maybe we should all start a thread with things we are happy about at the moment?? or maybe i should lol. I dont know where this originates but i like it. I am going through a little thorny patch at the moment, but I am trying to remember also, that along with the thorns comes a rose. A rose sees itself as a flower It knows that the sum of all its parts contributes to its whole the thorns are just as much a part of the flower as the petals. The rose only knows it would be incomplete without the thorns [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19/06/07 10:09 "I was merely making a personal observsion, not "imbuing" anything with judgement. Read exactly what I said in my original post." I don't want to get it to an argument I just ponder what the point of such an observation was at that point especially when you said in the post you were concerned such a post may upset someone (and therefore thought it might)? So how did it add any support to people in distress? Anyway, I just think we need to be careful when people are expressing painful emotions to honour them. Especially when this garden is such a unique forum for sharing that. Enough of that. Mel [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
