] Date Posted: 25/05/07 16:17 It has been confirmed that my wife has multiple sclerosis. It is active right now so brain damage is occuring at this time. Fortunately we have lots of areas of the brain that we don't really use much so the noticable damage has been pretty minimal. She is scheduled for intense steroid treatments next Wed.,Thurs. and Fri.. The treatments are the best way to stop an active attack but she will be quite sick from them. Acceptance is the first step for both of you. From there you need to think about the things that are possible for you both and forget about the things that arent. I am sure your wife will encounter good days and bad days. Wherever possible, try to do something you will both enjoy (within her limits) on the good days and just 'be' on the bad ones.
