] Date Posted: 25/05/07 19:27 Hello all, sorry for not posting for ages. I broke my big toe...most embarrassing. I tripped over my flared PJS...did a 3point fall, knees, hands, head. I did expect some sympathy, especially from my doctor. When i went to see him....after the fracture clinic...he was reading a letter from the hospital, it said 'strangled big right toe in left leg pajama'. I was home for a week with lovey prescription strength co-codamol MMMMMMMMM. Soon got bored of laying on my back with my leg up so i went back to work on the Monday 21/5, this happened on Sunday the13/5. Got back to work, loads of hugs from the kids, nearly got scalped by my 'friend' that's how i know she missed me LOL. Loving every minute of being up and about, the only drawback being i have to wear this rather fetching blue padded boot/shoe thingy...I'm stylin ooohhhh yeah. Date Posted: 28/05/07 16:00 Hi All, i just want to do a quick bit of 'mummy boasting'. My eldest son Brad ran in the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday, he ran 26 miles in 4 hours and 15 Min's.....I'm so proud of him. He ran past us at the beach about 10ish, of course i did my usual cheering on for everybody (mouth like a Foghorn & clapping like a lunatic) to make it worse when Brad ran past me I'm shouting 'i love you, run foresss run' LOL. We all went to the race course for the finish. I was so emotional, not just for my own son but everyone. There were women with cancer running, and men with no legs..honest , they had those springy things on. It was fantastic. My kids are used to seeing me get emotional, in fact its so bad that when we watch a film together they always look to see if i'm crying when it gets to the end. They won't go to the cinema with me any more coz i always embarrass them. I think the last time i cried was at Harry Potter...others have been Mulan, Finding Nemo, Casper. Anyway i'm getting off track here. The marathon was fabby. As you may have read before Brad is very special to me, heck all my children are, i know how lucky i am. Brad was the one who had cancer when he was a baby, he had Neuroblastoma (which can be quite aggressive) he lost one of his kidneys, and the right one he has isn't working properly due to renal rickets (fanconi syndrome).
