Gotta love the Beatlesque photos in the park. I wonder what the little kid was thinking, waiting to go down the slide.....crazy teenagers invading his territory.

And oh Lord, the fan club newsletter is a riot. Can't you just picture all the teen girls waiting each month for another installment of "bright sayings" from their "fab guys". I wonder if we could've picked Dan's quote out from the rest without the names attributed?

I found this video a few days ago. It's from The Who's performance at the Opera House in Peoria when The Coachmen opened for them. Dan might even be in it, but it's hard to tell....LOL

I was a Who fan, but you know, I never did understand the whole smashing the instruments thing. Guess I didn't have quite that much teenage frustration. Crazy days....

I didn't see Dan anywhere in the video. I remember reading an interview with Dan in which he talked about his Daltry-esque antics during his Coachman years--twirling the microphone, smashing tambourines. I just can't imagine it, but we were all different when we were adolescents (hell, I wore white lipstick!) I can't imagine him destroying good instruments; he seemed to have way too much respect for music and the craftmanship that goes into making quality instruments.

I was really just joking about Dan being in the video. There are some kids near the end who rush the stage for souvenirs, but it's too dark to really see much. He must've been there, so I was just joking that one of the kids could've been him....lol.

And yeah, I can't imagine Dan smashing instruments either. Trashing a few tambourines was probably the extent of it.
