If you haven't seen the latest Jones Beach video, you should check it out. It's one of those unique moments in time.....captured for our enjoyment. Dan has a little trouble with the words to Leader of the Band. The consummate performer. So funny. Gotta love the way he handles it with such endearing charm.

Just wondering if anyone can make out the words he actually starts to sing. I can't make it out. It doesn't sound like any of the lyrics from the song. Any ideas?

"My brothers' lives were different" is what he starts and then apparently realized he skipped "A quiet man of music....." and got lost in a "Senior Moment."

hmmmm....really? That would make sense, but I still don't hear it that way. I've listened to it over and over...even slowed it down and listened. Yeah I know, I obsess a bit over little things sometimes. But anyway, what it sounds like to me is "And all the times..." - or - "The lonely times..."
But I don't know....my ears are not what they used to be, so you're probably right.
