The signature doesn't look real. If you compare it with the signed letters at gruhn.com, there is little resemblance to Dan's authenticated autograph. Especially in the way the "D" is formed. Also, the seller claims he got the signature at the Mayo Clinic where Dan is being treated--information the seller claims to have obtained from his brother in law, an OB-GYN at the clinic. That is highly confidential information, and any doctor revealing information like that should fear losing his license--it's a violation of ethical code. Finally, Dan is not receiving treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Bottom line, even though it's only going for about $10, don't encourage scam artists by bidding on this item. I don't like the idea of anyone trying to get over on someone else. What makes people so greedy? There's always someone trying to make a buck off of someone else. And this is the one of the worse kind, using someone else's misfortune for your own gain. Well, hopefully no one will buy it. I don't know why people buy autographed items anyway. Seems to me an autograph is meaningless unless you got it yourself. You know what I mean? To me, buying something with Dan's autograph on it would have no sentimentality, no meaning. Now if I met Dan in person and he signed an album or something for me, then that would be a memory. Then it would have some meaning to me, something to keep, something to remember a moment.
