Has it just been 3 months? It feels like 3 Years.
I remember getting 2 messages on my phone. 1 from Mobird & 1 from Lin. They both said the same thing,"Call me now" I thought it was srange that they both sounded so serious. I hit Lins number, she was listed first. She asked me if I had heard the news, I said no. She started crying & said "Dan died"... I was just dumbstruck. Stood there just unable to speak. I told my husband but, the word seemed weird. I listened to Lin crying & she said go to the website. I did, and I had the strangest thought. I looked at the picture Jean had put on the homepage, and I just had to smile. Weird huh. Have you ever seem such a man at peace? He just looked so happy.
I just started thinking, he had made his peace & found love & had a wonderful life he wanted. I read that Maine had a beautiful snow that morning. I think he just waited till the right moment. It was just his time.
Now, I am very sad & upset that I will never see him in concert. But, thats just a selfish thought on my part. He gave me 30 years of beautiful music I will love & listen to daily. Or until I have my snowy morning.....
