What a great idea it was to broadcast that concert. I've heard many parts of it, but never the whole thing in its entirety. He sounded so young, his whole life and career ahead of him. And it all just passes in a flash But boy, did he fill his page of history! Not only dreamed his dreams, but lived them. And he'll never be gone as long as there's someone on Earth who remembers him.

Yeah, I was happy to finally hear the whole show too. Last time it aired, I had connection problems and missed parts of it. It's a fun show......not the best sound, but a treat nevertheless. I imagine it probably sounded much better if you were there. And it sure sounds like they were having a great time.

I always enjoy his humor and quick wit. Boy, his youthfulness is so apparent, and so is his mid-western accent. Love hearing him banter between songs. I imagine it was a pretty exciting and crazy time in his life. And I'm glad it was captured for us to hear all these years later.

I was reading a post over at the Kindred board that got me thinking more about the live shows, and how awesome it would be to have them on CD. Wouldn't we all love to have recordings of the shows we went to, and the ones we couldn't go to?

I imagine there must be more soundboard recordings that are good enough to release. Dan may not have liked the quality of some, but I'm sure we'd love them all. Maybe one day Jean might consider releasing some of the live shows.

I have no idea of the effort or the financial aspect involved, but if it were possible to produce the live CDs with part of the proceeds going to cancer research, it would be another way of continuing the quest, and a great way of keeping Dan's music alive.

Of course, we do have a brand new CD to look forward to now, so I should be happy. And believe me, I am. I can hardly wait. I'm very excited and thankful for that.

Kelly
