It really was such a relief to hear this news. And the picture was like icing on the cake. He looks so strong and healthy! That smile is worth a thousand words. It's not at all what I had been picturing lately. It had been so long, I was really starting to think that any day we could wake up to find very sad news. So many times I have wondered what he might be going through, and whether he was in any condition to enjoy his days. But those thoughts are gone now. Thank god! It's just so good to know.

I realize Dan is probably still dealing with the effects of this disease, but just to hear from him is a comfort. I'm sure it has lifted the spirits of many who have wondered and worried about him all these months. I know it has lifted mine.

I find myself going back every day though, to check his site. I don't know what else I expect to find. I've already gotten the news I've been hoping for. I really don't expect any new updates for a long while, but I just keep checking anyway. I wonder if anyone else is doing the same. I guess it's just a feeling of wanting to stay in touch or something. I don't know....I'm just so relieved to hear that he is doing well. This is so great!
