A Message To Dan

Dan,

Deborah has come over to SOC and yet I have never been over here before so this is a first for me (Hi Deb) :)

I wanted you to know how much you mean to many of us who watch OLTL. Most of us never cared for the role of Kevin Buchanan before. We could have cared less what he did next because he was basically very lackluster and dull. You came onto the scene and breathed such amazing life into him that we not only took notice, we suddenly found that we cared about Kevin. I stand in awe of your amazing abilities and it is those abilities that have made me laugh with Kevin, cry with Kevin, want to shake Kevin but always root for him.

You had us in tears with your touchingly poignant and powerful performances this past year and although for some odd reason the academy chose to not honor you with something you so richly deserved this year, please understand that you have a much greater award coming and that is the growing respect and adoration of the fans. We are the ones who know in our hearts just how wonderful you really are and we will never stop watching for you and will always be in your corner.

There isn't a place online anywhere today that isn't questioning your glaring omission. We stand shocked, surprised and a little bewildered but what is most important is that your talent has not gone unnoticed by us and we are the heart and lifeblood of this industry. The fans know how we feel and if nothing else, I wanted to stop by to tell you what a class act you are and what a truly wonderful performer you are. I am grateful you have come to OLTL and hope we will have you for many years to come in which I am sure will be filled with other chances and a few statues or two :)
