This is such a good example of how people view these guys. They saw them out for dinner with their girlfriends, and then report back to here. I'm not saying the person who did that is a stalker, but it just shows where our mentality is when it comes to these guys. I feel really bad for the guys AND their girlfriends. They are not theones playing hockey, but yet get thrown into the spotlight along with their bfs. I know I would not want people talking about my relationship on a stupid forum, or keeping track at what games I've been to, or looking at my finger to see if I have an engagement ring. Not only do you know the girlfriends, some of you even know their names. That is just plain scary. This is obsessive and almost like you're stalking not only the guys, but also the girlfriends. Why do you feel the need to talk about these guys like this? They aren't celebrities. They are normal guys, who have normal lives and I know they come on this forum and read the stuff you guys write, and they think its stupid. I'm surprised a forum like this can still be on the internet.
I don't think the person who said they saw the boys at a restaurant or saw the gf's at the games is a stalker. East Side Marios is a large and popular restaurant and the boys' faces are recognizable even to people that don't go to the games because the boys are in the local paper a fair bit. Noticing them at a restaurant doesn't make you a stalker, nor does seeing their gf's at a game with another 4000 people or more. In fact, I think the person that wrote that post was sticking up for the boys and their lack of privacy. A valid point is that when these boys make the OHL, similar to celebrities, politicians, etc and anyone else in the public's eye, you should know that with your "fame" comes some lack of anonymity....and you should behave accordingly. These boys know they are role models and need to behave as such.
