Subject: Absent manager?

Went to watch Wimborne v Christchurch on Monday and was impressed with the team work that Christchurch showed throughout the match and the mixture of youth and experience which lead to them beating Wimborne 2-1. The players and their manager supported and encouraged each other throughout the 90 mins at no time did I hear any negative comments.

On the other hand Wimborne looked and played like 11 individuals who were quick to point out mistakes made by others (this included the ref and both linesmen) in addition the support from their bench was limited to say the least as their manager was not present?

It is teams that win cups, promotions and the following of supporters. Christchurch may not win the leaque (this season) however they are a team who work for each other and that coupled with support, encouragement and coaching will turn them into a useful side.
