Fair comment, but have you seen the league table lately????

Clubs policy on whether they pay players or not is up to them.

However.....

The fact is that we are are in a semi-profssional league, and if clubs want to progress they need to pay players.....possibly sad, but true.

I know of a Step 7 side which was paying one of their players £200 a week a few years ago - didn't prove too bad a move cos they're now top of their Step five league. There again. I know of clubs that driven themselves into oblivion by paying money they couldn't afford.
