But that's my point. So what? If they want to pay players £100,000 a week that's up to them. Both sides have a quality playing surface and meet pretty much all of the minimum ground requirements - yes it would be nice to have a Social area at Tatnum and yes it would be nice to have some light in the bar at Vospers and space to swing a cat but at this level it's swings and roundabouts.

Aside from Bemerton - who have to be the target for all Wessex clubs as far as grounding goes, every club has a downside.

I agree with you in that I think it's absolutely madness to pay anyone at this level but it's thier choice. I hear all these managers saying that they have players who could play higher and the reason they probably don't is the wages they're on but so what? If they're not amibitious that's up to them - it means other clubs get to play against some top players - I for one certainly enjoy watching Lamin play twice a season!
