Subject: Transfer Window.

Hi,
Any views on how the “Transfer Window” system would work in the Wessex league ? It currently seems all too easy for under-achieving sides to simply sign players “at the drop of a hat” if things go pear shaped (after having the close season to assemble a squad that the manager wants to work with, and have faith in for the forthcoming season). If a side under-achieves when the season opens the club should have to work hard with what they have to turn it around, or at least work towards the January window to change things. Two examples come to mind this year. One club had the vision to look at the last couple of year’s progress, tweak things a little which now seems to be paying off big time. Another club stated all summer how they were going to mop up, spent the cash (still are it seems which is my point) with no great effect to date. Of course as with all frameworks to work within, exceptional cases could be looked at, but wouldn’t a “Window” system show who really has the ability to assemble a good side, and reward them at seasons end?
