Hi,

So glad you are okay now, you got me really worried.

The things I want to tell you:

1) the info on hypoglycemia on the web is mostly diabetes related, you probably do not have diabetes so ignore the info on the web

2) hypoglycemia can be temporary, some people get it once, some get it more often but it is not necessarily a life-time thing

3) hypoglycemia is definately eating disorder related and related to extreme exercise. Your sugar level can be totally mixed up by ED eating behavior and extreme exercising

4) anxiety is among a number of other things one of the most common symptons during a hypo.

5) although this must sound very calming hypoglycemia, if you have it in a bad degree it can be very dangerous, it can cause coma and even death.

6) you can only see it in a test if you are actually having it, when you are feeling better a test will not show it when it is not diabetes related.

When you want to know what reactive hypoglycemia is (that means not diabetes related) let me know and I will post it on the board tomorrow in human (not medical) language.
I am glad your mom is with you and looking after you, dont get too scared about the coma, before that happens you have to feel bad for hours. If you get it again, do go to the ER, you are not overreacting, they can give you something to make it go away immediately, they might (depending on how bad it is) keep you for a night. Then they will assign you a nutricianist or a dietician to make sure it will not happen again. In the beginning they might give you some pills, but with the right food you will not have to take them for long. (this all if it turns out to be hypoglycemia)

I am so glad you are a bit better now, try not to worry about it too much. In the mean time the best thing to do is try to drink enough juice, and make sure you do eat something during the day especially if you exercise (I know that is hard)

I really wish you the best of luck,

Chocolate
