Last year, a doctor recommended I take citrucel. They are basically fiber tablets. They are not laxatives; they are safe and help with regulating yourself. I am not sure why you would want to take them on an empty stomach though. I mean, if you have nothing in your stomach there wouldn't be any point in taking them.
