Hi,

I know a lot of people want to know how much their metabolism burns while doing nothing so here it is:

Restmetabolism is the metabolism of internal processes. Basically this means that it is what your body burns by doing nothing. So if you would lie in bed and dont talk or move at all. Just breath and think and your blood pumps around:

*take your weight in pounds and convert it to kilos:
one pound is 0.453592 kilos
*take your weight in kilos times 24 times
*this is the amount of calories you burn while doing
absolutely nothing.

So by example: I weigh 103 pounds

103 pounds times 0.453592 is 47 kilos
47 times 24 is 1128

So if I would lay in bed for an entire day and do nothing (not even turn around) my body would burn 1128 calories. (if not in starvation mode)

just thought you would want to know.

(p.s. if you would want to calculate this for a male the calculation would be different)
