Hi,

Well, I guess the information proves you are definately not alone. This is also what my work consists of mostly, I just switched jobs (I am studying to be a dietician and because of that I get more responsibilities) before I worked mainly with children now I only work with children. Not only overweight children (mostly though) but also children with cancer, intolerances, diabetes etc.
The trick with overweight children is that my job does not only consist of getting them to a normal weight but also to try to get them to deal with food in an emotionally healthy way, which is not the easiest thing to do. A lot of times when I get a 12 year old that is overweight you already, when you talk to the child, hear the ED coming.
Not al people get 'warning signs' before they get an ED but when children form a risk factor doctors, dieticians and therapist should act asap to prevent this. It is easier for both care taker and child to prevent an ed than to get out of it later.

Anyway, glad you found some recognition.

Chocolate
