Hi,

I am 26. I started to develope an ed when i was about 14. When I was 15 I was hospitalized the first time. I didnt want to and my parents forced me. It didnt work for me at all because I really wasnt open minded. The second time I was hospitalized I was 17, I got into the hospital because I collapsed and I been in a 'semi-coma' for 7 days (sem-coma is a come in which you still have reflexes) after that I was put in an in patient programme for girls with an eating disorder. I still didnt want to so again it didnt work. When I was 21 I decided that I wanted to really work on my ed myself (and thus not forced) and I signed myself in for an inpatient programme. I did the programme and some additional therapy and this worked really well. I've been trying to maintain recovery for almost four years now. I have my ups and downs.

I have always been anorectic, never bulimic. I just didnt eat. I only tried to throw up twice in 12 years of ed. Actually this is odd because most people with anorexia develope bulimia at one stage or the other way around.

So, that is the deal.
