Subject: Market traders are all a flutter

Sunday Express, April 2012 - NO RACING CERT: More are betting on markets

COMPETITION is heating up in the world of financial betting. Fixed odds financial betting group BetOnMarkets now claims to offer the cheapest trades for punters and says its prices are as competitive as the dealing desks of the big banks.

According to BetOnMarkets chief executive Jean-Yves Sireau, most of the firm’s customers are between 40 and 59 rather than young City slickers.

Apparently more people are trading markets themselves in a bid to make some extra money.

Given the abysmal returns from investment funds and low interest rates, The Insider can’t blame them for taking a bet on the markets.
