I want to thank everyone who helped me load the car after the roll over. There were so many there but heres the ones I remember. Delbert Lagrow ,Kelvin Clement, Kevin Clement, Kevin Fetterly Jr., and who ever else was there. Sorry if I forgot to mention you but it was hectic. Also a big thanks to the track crew. To Jamie Davis and Jody Swamp,
The entire racing community was shocked by Corey Jalbert's accident at the Speedway. Much has been done to help Corey, Dan and Tammy during this time but I would like you to consider having the Speedway do something special. What I suggest is that Frogtown schedule a special Corey Jalbert Recognition Night Race in August or September on a weekday evening similar to the Nations Cup race night that he was injured on. Ask all drivers willing to show up and race for free or only tow money to come. Ask all fans to pay $15 admission of which all will go to the Jalbert family. Solicit special prizes and drawings from which all proceeds will go to the Jalbert family and Corey. Ask everyone at the Speedway to donate their services for the evening. The track can pay its expenses from the concession sales for the evening or even donate a small percentage of those sales to the Jalbert family. In short if at least 500 fans come out to support this event it is likely $10,000 could be raised on Corey's behalf and perhaps some of that could be given in trust for his future education needs or medical rehabilitation expenses. Just and idea. I am not a Frogtown regular but come up at least five times a year and for this event I know I would come and would not be complaining regardless of how many cars were there to race in each class. But I know the racing community....fans, drivers, promoters and drivers alike......they have a huge heart and I think they would support such and effort with those huge hearts......one special evening where everyone gives....their money, their time and their effort to help this family and young man who was a rising star and whose family has provided years of entertainment to us with their racing.

The "Gentleman" Bill Cook (M70) and his wife Martha are collecting donations and items to put in a silent auction to benefit Cory Jalbert who was injured during a race on June 27th. He is partially paralyzed and has a long road to recovery.
If you'd like to donate any items to the Silent Auction to be held Sat August 25th at the CKON studio's "Listener Appreciation" Day and Open House (there will be a tent set up outside the building for the auction).

He is doing much better considering. He is still in the trama unit and they are suppose to get him in a wheel chair today sometime.
Still no movement in his legs and they dont expect any either, which kinda sucks. But he is handling it real well.

Hey all, on behalf of Jake Racing (Team 47J- semi pro) we would like to express our concerns for Corey and his family! We helped Dan the night it happened and would like to continue to help Corey, Dan, Teammy and family so that is why we have already started the process of putting together a Jamboree. I have already had several businesses give donations, as well as several people offer to help myself and my crew out in making this event a success. We are planning this event for Sunday, July 29th 2007 @ Northern Lights Night Club. Jeff Rush has been a big help in offering his facilities for our event at no cost to us as well as offering to help with the entertainment! thanks Jeff! so anyways... if Corey's family and friends see this, we ask if it would be at all possible to keep it on the down low, bc what we hope to do is get pictures and/or video of the event and send it/take it over to them as a surprise. as for the drivers and anyone else who wishes to help with this event, we need donations if anyone can pick up some... and we're going to need more food... tons of it! so u could always just bring some dishes to pass or what not! we've also started a 50/50 raffle if ne one would like to pick up some tickets, get ahold of me...if u have any other questions, u can contact me @ (315) 764-5562... if i dont answer, leave a message with ur name and # and i'll get back to ya as soon as i can! thanks soooooo much!!!

Monday Update on Corey
Corey had some complications last night with swelling in his neck and allot of pain and spent the night in ICU he is now back in the trauma unit and doing allot better swelling is going down a bit he has some feeling as far down to his belly button and has some tingling in his ankles but no movement in his lags at all. Dan Tammy And Tiffany(his girlfriend my daughter) are staying by his side. There are a couple places in Cornwall You can drop donations off at Phatty Kats Bar and Grill and Rack-em-up-billards

HI ALL i;m coreys uncle .corey and his family would like to thank all fans and drivers for there pryers and support at this time.COREY has had his surgy on friday june 29.It was a long 9 hour surgy on his neck to fix the breaks and remove pieces of bone chips .they took a piece of bone from his hip to repar the front side of his neck then put in a steal plate and pins for the back of his neck .It is now sunday july 1 and he is starting his recovery at this time corey is able to move his right arm and has some filling in his feet and legs from the midle off the shin down .his middle has no feeling as of yet .he will be in for a long recovery as of this time we do not know if he will walk agin we hope he will walk agan.IF not we feel lucky to have him with us his spirit is high thanks to all of you .thank you all alex

Cory Jalbert Accident -- Nancy Fetterly, 08:07:37 06/28/07 Thu
Cory Jalbert was very badly injured last night during a roll over in the Bandit division. Not sure, but I think his back tire broke and it sent him barrel rolling many times.
I do not have anything official from the speedway, but I have been contacted by Cory's girlfriend's father.
Cory is still being tested, and things at this time do not look to good...possible severe neck or back injury.
I ask everyone to please keep Cory and the Jalbert family in their prayers....
My heart goes out to Tammy and Dan....As a mother of two son's who race...This is a mother's worst nightmare. I became very ill watching as Cory was cut from his car.
I can only hope that Cory makes a full recovery...He is only 17 and has a whole lifetime ahead of him....
My thoughts and prayers are with Cory and his family.
If I get any official updates on Cory I will be sure to post them.
