2006 - MISS GEORGIA PEACH SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT

The Miss Georgia Peach Pageant, which is a sanctioned event sponsored by the Georgia Peach Festival, will be held Mar 11th, 2006 at the C.W. Pettigrew Center, Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia.
All contestants will be judged on poise/personality, beauty and projection. In addition, the Teen and Miss contestants will be judged in interview and the Miss contestants will be judged in mandatory talent . The Little Miss, Junior Miss & Teen Miss will have an optional talent award. Tiny, Little & Junior Miss divisions will also be given optional awards for prettiest dress, prettiest smile and prettiest hair. Optional photogenic awards will be given in all age divisions. The new Miss Georgia Peach Queen will receive a $1000.00 savings bond upon completion of the Peach Festival Events. The 1st Runner Up to Miss Georgia Peach will receive a $200.00 cash award. All other queens will receive $100.00 savings bonds. There will be 4 runner ups in each age group. Queens will be the official ambassadors during the Georgia Peach Festival held in June in Fort Valley and Byron. Videos and photographs of the pageant will be available for purchase – details at rehearsal.

TINY MISS, LITTLE MISS AND JUNIOR MISS

TINY MISS –( 4 TO 6 YRS )– Entry Fee ($75.00) Optional Photogenic ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Dress ($10.00)
Optional Prettiest Smile ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Hair ($10.00)
Tiny Miss should wear white shorts, any shade of pink shirt, white socks & tennis shoes for opening number.
Tiny Miss will be asked a question on stage from application during gown competition.
Tiny Miss rehearsal will be Friday Mar 10th, 5pm-7pm and the Pageant is Saturday Mar 11th at 2pm.

LITTLE MISS – ( 7 – 10 YRS ) – Entry Fee ($75.00) Optional Talent ($20.00) (not to exceed 2 minutes)
Optional Photogenic ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Dress ($10.00)
Optional Prettiest Smile ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Hair ($10.00)
Little Miss should wear white shorts, any shade of yellow shirt, white socks & tennis shoes for opening number.

JUNIOR MISS – ( 11 – 13 YRS ) – Entry Fee ($75.00) Optional Talent ($20.00) (not to exceed 2 minutes)
Optional Photogenic ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Dress ($10.00)
Optional Prettiest Smile ($10.00) Optional Prettiest Hair ($10.00)
Junior Miss should wear white shorts, any shade of green shirt, white socks & tennis shoes for opening number

Little Miss & Junior Miss will say a 15 to 30 second speech on any topic of choice at microphone during gown competition. Little Miss & Junior Miss rehearsal will be Friday Mar 10th, 5pm-7:30pm. And the Pageant is Saturday Mar 11th at 2pm.

TEEN MISS – ( 14 – 16 YRS ) – Entry Fee ($75.00) Optional Photogenic ($10.00)

MISS –( 17 – 23 YRS )– Entry Fee Includes Talent ($75.00) (Talent not to exceed 2 minutes/timed at rehearsal)

Rehearsal will be Friday Mar 10th, 8:30pm- 10:30pm. And the Pageant is Saturday Mar 11th at 7:30pm.
Interviews will be Sat Mar 11th –A.M. Exact times given at rehearsal.
Interview outfits for opening number. On stage question during the gown competition.
All talent not to exceed 2 minutes and a cued tape must be left at rehearsal. Deadline for applications is Mar 1st. Please mail applications to: Miss Georgia Peach Pageant, 128 Julee Emilyn Dr., Bonaire, Ga. 31005. Entry limited to first 15 applicants per group. Contestant number is assigned by the committee drawing from the pool of contestants. For more information call Dianne Sweat at 478-923-3846 or Donna Long at 478- 987-1960 or Dee Hayes at 478-987-1711. Due to time restraints at the Pettigrew Center, we will not be able to cut your talent numbers down to 2 minutes. Please have your music selections ready and cued-up and not to exceed 2 minutes. Interviews for Teen & Miss will be held at the Perry Welcome Center (Directions will be in your packet of information received at rehearsal).
