Before he can be dismayed at A'lan's seeming retreat, A'dian finds the brownrider's lips on his in a light kiss. It's not the bad reaction he'd feared, and he's too busy being happy to fully respond before A'lan leans back and looks at him questioningly. The greenrider opens his mouth, but can't find the right words, and before he can assemble the scattered pieces of his brain to come up with something coherent, A'lan has taken advantage of his open mouth to initiate a deeper kiss. This is a notion A'dian can certainly get behind, and he returns it with equal enthusiasm, the thought that he might give A'lan his illness only flitting briefly across the back of his mind. He should worry about that more, but right now, he wants to be selfish.

As Hroth approaches, Vitaliath turns her head a bit more, craning her neck to look at him full-on. Her eyes are spinning faster now, a touch of violet leaking into the green as she picks up on her rider's feelings. If only the stupid brown would just move a little bit closer.... Do I have to do everything around here? she demands, but there's no particular ire behind it as she braces herself and rises to her feet. The green turns slightly, her neck extends, and she rubs the side of her head along Hroth's neck, tail flickering behind her and brushing his hind leg. It just feels right, to touch the brown like this.

Unconsciously mirroring his dragon's thoughts, A'dian finds himself impatient with A'lan's slow inching closer, his exaggerated care. He's sick, but he's not made of glass, and besides, he feels much better now. The young man had been sitting cross-legged, but now he grabs A'lan's shoulder with his right hand and lurches upward, rising into his knees so he can press himself against the other boy's chest. "I'm n-not going to b-break," he mutters, reluctantly disengaging his mouth from A'lan's to do so, and then finding his lips conveniently near the ear he'd whispered into, he latches on to the lobe with his teeth, nibbling gently. His left arm feels awkward, just hanging by his side, so he wraps it around A'lan, resting his hand on the small of the other man's back. A'dian may seem to be moving rather fast, particularly considering his usual timidity, and indeed there's butterflies in his stomach and a little voice urging him to slow down and pull back. But while this may be the first time he's touched A'lan like this in real life, he's done it a hundred times or more in his head, and the reality is far better than even his best imaginings. It's rather heady, actually - or maybe that's his body's reaction to such sudden and strenuous activity. He prefers to account it to the first reason, because he has a chance right now that he may never have again, and his body is not going to be allowed to inconvenience it with mere illness.
