An exhibit of animal themed artworks to benefit the Port Jervis/Deerpark Humane Society will be held at 156 Pike Street, Port Jervis, NY from July 17-Sept 10, 2010, in the office of Dr. Jeffrey Parker, Podiatrist and widely exhibiting collage artist. A reception will be held during the Port Jervis Arts Walk on July 17 from 2-4pm. The exhibit, featuring local artists as well as artists participating in the Art for Shelter Animals Project, will feature Mona Birmingham, Dani Cooney, Lisa O’Gorman Hofsamer, Carrie Jacobson, Anne Marie Jones, Joan Kehlenbeck, Carol Lavoie, Kate Merriman, Susan Miiller, Jeff Parker, Liz Pearson, and Mark Sheeky.
You are invited to see small artworks, no larger than 16x20”. The show of animal-themed artworks will benefit the Port Jervis-Deerpark Humane Society. Visit their website at www.pjhumane.org. Artists in the Art for Shelter Animals Project (ASAP) will be exhibiting with us. ASAP works with local painters painting portraits of animals in our shelters and giving them to the shelters. The shelters can do whatever they want with the paintings. This is a unique project as the art is directly donated to shelters free and clear, rather than a percentage of their sales. Visit their site at www.artforshelteranimals.blogspot.com for more information on how you help local animal shelters through your art.

For more information please contact Susan Miiller at: (845) 856-3764 or susanmiiller@yahoo.com
