The next Gathering of Gardeners is scheduled for Tuesday July 20th and will be on Grasses, Sedges and Rushes. Ornamental grasses, sedges and rushes are not only beautiful in the landscape but are also deer resistant. Come learn more about this group of plants and how to use them in your gardens. The Walker Valley Reiki Healing Circle will be in the schoolhouse on Tuesday July 20th for their regular monthly session starting with a meditation at 7:00pm. If you are interested in Reiki or any other type of energy work this is a good place to start. Practitioners are available to demonstrate the modality as they take turns practicing their techniques on each other or guests who attend the session. Donations are appreciated. Your host for the evening will be Herbalist Nina Casamento, owner of Happy Herb Soaps. On Sunday July 25th will be the 3rd Annual Bill Perry Day. Barry Adelman of Music for Humanity says, “we gather from noon to about 6:00pm to celebrate the life of a great musician, Bill Perry – http://musicforhumanity.org/musicians/members/52/event.php. We award the Music for Humanity Bill Perry Scholarship to a graduating high school senior who wants to continue their music education.” Bill died about 3 years ago and many say he was the best blues guitar player that ever came out of Orange County NY!
